This consists of a hypothetical question. Support your answers! Your answers should reflect your knowledge of the business concepts being raised in the questions and your ability to apply business concepts and terminology to the specific scenario presented.

When Minnie Mouse got her new job, she was happy. Working on an oil rigger, she would make enough money to support herself and her two babies. But now, she is no longer happy. First reason, after a week of working with a primarily male crew, her co-workers started making unwelcome comments about her body. Then, sexual graffiti mentioning her name appeared. Minnie complained to the supervisor, who referred her to the site manager. She was told to ignore and "they are just joking around."

Second, Minnie has learned that a local community has been complaining about skin rashes and their water supply being contaminated with toxic chemicals. The property values in the neighborhood have dropped dramatically because of the health issues occurring in the neighborhood. What makes it worse is that she knows her company is the reason for the community's health issues. There was an oil leak that the company covered up.

Despite being unhappy, Minnie decides to hang in there after the company hires two additional female crew members. However, one day while at lunch, Minnie learns that one of the other female crew members is married to one of the male crew members. The female crew member, who makes the same as Minnie, discloses that she is being paid 20 percent less than her husband for the same job. Minnie is furious at the news and starts speaking about starting a union. She quickly goes to find her supervisor to demand answers about the difference in pay. The supervisor, who heard Minnie saying the workers should form a union, fires Minnie but says it is because the company handbookprohibits employees from discussing their salary, bonuses, or any other forms of compensation.

1. What are Minnie's legal rights with respect to the male crew "joking around"? Explain your answer.

2. What potential claims could Minnie assert against her employer for her supervisor firing her? Explain your answer.
