This course has been packed with such intriguing and useful information. One big thing that really 'hit home' was these last couple of weeks going over Trust & Collaboration within a leader. It made me truly realize what skills a good/strong leader should portray. Anyone can have the title of Manager but in my opinion you have earn the title of Leader. It is not something that can just be given. At the previous company I worked for I knew that my management was subpar at best. But after learning what skills a good leader should have I realized that it was more than just subpar, it was down right awful. Without going into too much detail the management portrayed the opposite of just about all the skills a leader should have (i.e. trust, compassion, respect, empathy, etc.) This by far makes me appreciate the company and leaders I work for now. Just about every manager that I work with now has earned the right to be called a leader. They are genuinely concerned about growing their employees emotionally, mentally, and intellectually.
