Purchasing representatives support their organization by finding suppliers that will fulfill the organizational needs which includes obtaining the best price or value. Once the supplier is selected a purchase order is created which not only indicates the what, how much, and from whom, it also creates a paper trail to which the organization can be invoiced by the supplier. In this assignment, students will act as the laboratory manager (the internal client), the purchasing representative, and the suppliers (the bidders) who are interested in selling their products.
