This is a general fictitious project case problem that you need to work on with your three to five members group from the inception phase (i.e., crafting the innovative ideas), to the business feasibility analysis of your invention, to the requirement engineering of your software and ultimately to developing the project process groups (literally, pre-initiations/initiation and planning stages). The main theme of all projects is to develop a smart mobile app that delivers quite the necessary services to the community of Jeddah. To name a few: (1) Smart GPS-enabled carpooling services for students and employees around Jeddah. (2) Smart parking system at diverse attraction sites in Jeddah. (3) Student multi-service voluntary and trading exchange portal (i.e., tutoring, used textbooks, used devices, etc.). (4) RFID/ Fingerprint/ Camera based smart student and employee attendance system. Other mobile app projects that you may decide by yourself or any other mobile app project that may require expertise in Cybersecurity, Al, or data analytics. Please, remember to consider the diverse expertise essential to developing a complete production version of the mobile infrastructure. NOTE: Group of 4-5 students, craft your project idea, decide the project name, decide who is the group leader's name and report it to the instructor ASAP. You need to craft a creative idea that you think will deliver strategic value and financial benefits t your tiny startup company. Hence, you need to follow JWD consulting case study and work on the following activities and deliverables: Stage I: Pre-initiation and Initiation Stage: 1. Develop a business case analysis that includes your strategic business objective, initial software engineering requirements, budget estimates and financial analysis (i.e., software and resource cost estimates, NPV, ROI \& payback analysis), schedule estimate, and risk analysis as presented in the JWD case study. 2. Identify and create your fictitious project stakeholder register report (investors, external consultants, external subcontractors, and software experts, etc.), Include your course and Lab instructor names as main potential investors. 3. Develop your fictitious management strategy of stakeholders as delivered in JWD case. 4. Develop a project charter. 5. Develop the project kick-off meeting to your fictitious stakeholders. Stage II: Planning Stage of Scope, Time, and Cost. 1. Prepare a detailed project scope statement. (Scope Management). 2. Create a complete and accurate WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) of your project. (Scope Management). 3. Create the corresponding WBS Gantt Chart using MS Project. (Scope Management). 4. Create Network Diagram for the activities using MS Project. (Schedule Management). Presentation Guidelines Develop and present your slides of the project planning stage. Slides should cover: (1) review of project background and motivation, (2) highlights of business case analysis and project charter, (3) project scope processes and reports (4) Project schedule processes and reports, Finally, comment on the lessons- learned and experience gained from diverse perspectives (i.e., product constraints, teamwork, leadership, project challenges, future endeavors, etc.)
