I suggest that you include a few statistics to strengthen your argument comparing health care expenditures in the United States with some other developed nations and differences in life expectancy and infant mortality in the US and other similarly developed nations. I suggest that you also consider the issue of incentives between a private healthcare system with individual providers such as exists in the US with a unified publicly operated health care system in some other nations. What would be the differences between these healthcare systems as far as incentives to provide more expensive tests and procedures? Based on these incentives, would you expect one type of system to cost more than the other?
