This is a very important topic that we as primary care providers need to vigilant of. Class--if a patient confides in you she/he is a victim of IPV, what are your state (Florida) rules on reporting it? Are there laws requiring you report it? What if the abused doesn't want you to tell? What could you do if they asked for help? Support your answer with a minimum of two APRN-approved scholarly resources within five years (no later than 2019).
