This is a writing assignment is on 9/11. It is a "fake" scenario about 1 of the terrorists is still alive and you have to defend his case using the Criminal Defenses (mistake of fact, intoxication, duress, necessity, self defense, and insanity). You only need to pick one of those to defend the defendant -The only facts you have: 19 members of the Al-Quaeda (extremist islamic terrorist group) high jacked 4 passenger planes. This was a part of their self declared Jihad (a religious war) against "Evil" Americans. They came to the U.S the year prior to get flight training (pilot training?). It is mentioned on where the planes ended up (2 at the World Trade Center, 1 at the Pentagon, and 1 in a field), and ~3,000 innocent people passed away. Btw! The only thing that's "fake" about this, is there being 1 survivor (one of the terrorist). Just wanted to clarify if there was any confusion. Sorry!
