This is concerning for many reasons, among them being an aging population that is drastically increasing demand for primary care services. This doesnt look like a problem that will just go away, and there is plenty of lobbying for changes to policy/educational reform to increase the supply of primary care physicians.

why do you think there is a shortage of primary care physicians? What ideas are out there in regard to education reform to restructure medical school and residency programs? What recommendations would you have for addressing this national crisis?
