This is data from Company X that has 2 departments. The questionnaire measured 1) Overall job satisfaction (labelled Satisfaction); 2) Performance at the job (labelled Performance); and 3) Satisfaction with motivation system (labelled Motivation system). Each of the categories were measured with 3 questions using a Likert scale from 1 (not at all) to 5 (very much). The questionnaire also recorded the gender or the respondent and department the respondent worked at. Answers for each of the question are labelled A1...A9 for each individual respondent. Calculate the following: 1. Average satisfaction score for each respondent 2. Average performance score for each respondent 3. Average motivation system score for each respondent 4. Average and standard deviation of satisfaction scores of all respondents 5. Average and standard deviation of performance scores of all respondents 6. Average and standard deviation of motivation system scores of all respondents 7. Average satisfaction score for males and females 8. Conduct a suitable statistical test to find out whether satisfaction of males and females is statistically equal to each other 9. Tabulate answers for question A1 to find out: 9.a. The count of each response (i.e. 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5) for females working in department 1 9.b. The count of each response (i.e. 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5) for females working in department 2 9.c. The count of each response (i.e. 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5) for males working in department 1 9.d. The count of each response (i.e. 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5) for females working in department 2 10. Find a correlation between satisfaction scores (i.. average of A1, A2, A3) of all individual respondents with the scores of performance (i.e. average of A4, A5, A6) of all individual respondents. 10.a. Do the same as in 10 for a subsample of males. 10.b. Do the same as in 10 for a subsample of females. 11. Based on the previously calculated correlation results: is job performance affected by job satisfaction? How? 12. Construct at least 3 charts to visualize/describe the data about Motivation system.
