This is for a big statistic research project. We were supposed to pick two variables and then come up with a question. The variables I decided on are gun owners and told has depression. From this, I came up with the question:

Are gun owners who are diagnosed with depression more likely to commit gun violence than gun owners who are not diagnosed with depression?

Dependent Variable: Gun violence (nominal)

Independent Variable: Gun ownership with depression (nominal)

H0: There is not a statistically significant difference in gun violence based on gun owners with depression.

HA: There is a statistically significant difference in gun violence based on gun owners with depression.

Statistic Test: Chi-Square Test of Independence

Samples: 821

Please verify that this all makes sense and is accurate on anything you can. I want to make sure I am conducting the experiment correctly.
