As an adult, he had difficulty dealing with his problems and often got into trouble. He was arrested several times for stealing cars and driving recklessly. One night, while driving with a suspended licence and being pursued by police, Joe struck and killed a pedestrian. Joe was convicted of dangerous operations of a motor vehicle and sent to prison for 4 years. While in prison, Joe is attending a mandatory substance abuse program. He is also seeing a psychologist to help him work through his childhood problems. His uncle has offered him future employment in his radiator repair shop. Joe has already served 18 months. 1.
