Considering their work, Danny as a truck driver assigned to deliver cargos around the Philippines and Ruby as a Manager of a private company, both of them are not physically together most of the time (Johnny only stays at their house for twice a week). Assuming Ruby Makiling got pregnant and is expected to give birth by November 30, 2022 and the SSS contributions of Ruby Makiling and Danny Malimlim are properly paid by their respective employers, can Ruby avail the benefits of the Expanded Maternity Leave Law (RA No. 11210) and how many days with pay can she be allowed? Also, can Danny avail Paternity Leave with pay under the Paternity Leave Act (RA No. 8187)? Discuss why yes or no.
