As part of Mr. Xs transactions with various clients, Mr. X will always send an electronic document (Contract of Sale), with his digital signature, whenever he transacts with Mr. Y. If Mr. Y was wrongfully accused of piracy under section 33 of Republic Act No. 8792 by allegedly unlawfully reproducing the electronic document bearing the digital signature of Mr. X and the latter filed a criminal case against the former, can Mr. Y defend himself using the Rules on Electronic Evidence (A.M. No. 01-7- 01-SC) even if he is the accused? Explain why yes or no.

2. Is the Electronic Commerce Act or Republic Act No. 8792 relevant for College Students of the University of Manila to know and/or be familiarize with? Explain why yes or no.
