Assume the role of a business analyst and write a memo to the company's Chief Executive Officer making recommendations for BMW's strategy and value chain activities to support the company's future survival and growth. Your recommendations for the company's strategy must relate to the components of strategy (Core competencies, scope, synergy, and competitive advantage) and its value chain activities. To fulfill the requirements of the memo, first evaluate the internal and external environments of BMW. In your evaluation of the company's internal environment, identify and describe its most salient value chain strengths and weakness (in two categories). In your evaluation of the external environment (general, stakeholder, industry) as well as its competitors and markets, identify the most salient opportunities and threats. Second, and based on your internal and external environment analysis, make recommendations for the company's business level strategy and the value chain activities discussed in your analysis. Your recommendations for value chain activities must identify specific commitments, policies, and/or decisions, and attention must be given to how your value chain activity recommendations support the company's strategy. Use tables, when possible, to illustrate the main points of your analysis. 5. Submit your memo in docx format electronically in Blackboard. Do NOT use other file formats. 6.
