Each student will conduct independent research to identify a recently published news article that addresses an employment law issue that we have studied in the course. Sources in include newspapers, journals, and industry publications Your chosen news article must be published on or after May 1, 2019. Relevant topics include, but are not limited to: employment contracts, employment standards legislation, workplace harassment, pay equity, privacy, and progressive discipline. 2. Students will submit a copy of their chosen news article or a link to their news article, along with a report drafted independently and in their own words that addresses the following criteria: A SUMMARY of the relevant employment law issues from the news article; A DESCRIPTION OF LINKS to employment law concepts and materials we have studied in the course; and . A DESCRIPTION OF AN EFFECTIVE STRATEGY for a human resource professional to implement to avoid or address the employment law issue identified in their chosen news article. 3. In your report, be sure to discuss principles of employment law that we have studied in the course to demonstrate your understanding of how the course topics apply to real- world employment situations
