10:03 < Back Project I Case Study 20... thinks this is resulting in at least loss business. It is hard to make food ahead of time as its competitors does, as many of the orders are made to go. Mitch indicated that they currently do not have a web application where the customers can pre-order the food. This would help alleviate the lines. He believes that this will increase both sales and profits. If the application can have both delivery and pickup options that would also increase sales drastically He also mentioned that this would be awesome during the holidays as they have a special menu for the holiday. Customers will be able to place orders that are in the hundreds of dollar. This should increase sales by 15% and profits by The special menu should be part Of the design. Most people tend or Order the same items so Mitch believes that to increase customer satisfaction if they allow for the customer to be able to recall past orders. It is critical that the customer has the option to select the store and time Of the order to be readsy. The time for pickup should be an option of the order system. Mitch also thinks that the store needs better controls and audits. Currently they do not have the reporting to tell them what is selling and what is not. This store reporting will help with promotions. They have limited information about daily sales so difficult to determine the profitability of each store. This would increase the speed of the lines if they could better predict the orders and pre-make the food. This would require them to know what to add to the sandwiches such as peppers and cheese for the Big Beef. They do a daily inventory to determine what inventory to order. Mitch thinks that he could replace the daily inventory clerk if he had automated replenishment. For example, if they had 15 boxes of hot dogs and sold 10, they would know to order five. This goes for the other items as well. He has an inventory clerk at each sto re and he could possible eliminate the position. With automation, they could send daily orders to the warehouse for replinshment. Mitch would also like to offer coupons as part of the promotion process. He anticipates that will increase sales. The promotion process must be part of the order process.
