This is the only part of the exam. Completing it successfully will require you to draw on all the core analytic and reasoning skills you have learned this term. As always be sure to detail each step you take in your code and provide a complete and legible summary that conveys what the question was, what was done to answer it, and the answer to that question your analysis provides.

There are many approaches to answering this question. I will want to see that you have tried at least two different strategies and made a data driven decision as to which to report.

The data file below contains whether patients died in a six-month period from the start of surgery to the end of surgery ("died" in the data set). Two different types of surgery were performed ("surgerytype" in the dataset) and allocation to surgery type was of course not random: Decisions results from a combination of Dr. recommendations and patient's decisions. A number of variables about the patient are also included. Determine whether one type of surgery is more likely to result in death.
