Change Management Assignment You have just been hired by XYZ Company as a Supply Chain Analyst having graduated from the Mohawk College Supply Chain program. Your manager has talked to you about a change being implemented by the company and has asked you to provide a short report to explain to the company's owner the implications for the project and what the company can do to minimize problems during the changeover. Current Process The operators go from their manufacturing cells to collect whatever spares or items they need for their job. This involves them walking away from their stations to find the right bins and another team of people working on replenishing and reordering for those bins.

In future each manufacturing cell will have a Fastenal dispenser the employee will use their card to order items and enter the right code to have it dispensed and the costs tracked. There will be a number of changes: ? Staff will no longer leave their cells apart from at breaks ? Fastenal staff will manage and replenish the machines ? Purchasing will no longer raise orders as Fastenal have an annual contract ? The replenishment team will be redeployed in manufacturing As well as other changes. You first project is to get a report for your new manager demonstrating that you understand change management and the key areas of concern. This does not need to be a long report however it does need to be your best work. Your manager has indicated if it is longer than seven pages they probably won't have time to read it all
