This lab will deal with using a WiFi Analyzer to gather information about wireless networks within range.

To begin, download a WiFi analyzer app on your phone or a laptop that has the ability to connect to wireless networks.

You can use any WiFi Analyzer application that you like. There are many free options, I have listed some below for convenience.

Once you have installed the WiFi Analyzer open the application and answer the questions below.

1. List the types of information you can gather about Local WiFi Networks with a WiFi Analyzer?
2. Who are the manufacturers of the access points you find (Recall OUI from Chapter 1, MAC address can be used to find the manufacturer. Tools are available online such as https://www.wireshark.org/tools/oui-lookup.html )?
3. Explain in detail, why a network technician might use a WiFi Analyzer?
