This past year I had a little girl who came in to school a few times, quite upset because her parents were fighting earlier that morning. She cried and was clearly worried about the fact that her parents were fighting. This is stress that a young child should not have, but almost every year that I've been a teacher I've had a student come to me concerned because his/her parents had been fighting. There are so many stressors on families and marriages that can spill into the lives of our students.

What would you do in this situation? How would you help my student?
