This project takes the form of research on Piercing the Corporate Veil, and entails among other things, use of the Internet, library resources and case law. Group Research Question: "The Courts have long determined that a company is a separate legal entity, and that the concept of a "corporate veil" separates the owners of the company from the liabilities of the company. Although this legal principle has never been doubted, under certain circumstances the courts have found it fitting to put aside this principle and 'lift' or 'piece the corporate veil'." Critically discuss this Statement explaining the concept of "Separate Personality of a Company" and the circumstances under which the "veil may be lifted or pierced" by the Courts.
