This rule change directly affected all new flight crews trying to gain flight experience. No longer can a flight crew member (even a first officer) gain that hard to get experience from 250 hour Commercial Certificate to 1500 hour Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (ATP) in a 121 commuter operation like before.
