This Task discussion is based on viewing a video (two hours, 11 minutes) that follows two students as they develop and facilitate a 16-week group. The students are supervised by a seasoned group worker as they lead their group to deeper insight, connection, and personal engagement.

Watching the development of this group and the supervision process, identify and discuss the following:

• What is one skill or concept in each stage of development (Beginning, Transition/Middle, and Termination) that has been clarified for you?
  • What is your takeaway from your deeper understanding of this skill?
• How you will incorporate the skill into your practice going forward? If you are not currently working with groups, how do you see your new understanding enhancing such work when you do?
• Highlight something about working with groups that you did not realize or appreciate before.
