This week I would like you to try, once again, to relate the material that you are learning directly to the organization for which you work (or to an organization that you have worked for in the past). Please post a couple of brief paragraphs on the role of either economies of scale, economies of scope OR economies of learning in your organization. For example, if you think that there are signicant scale economies, learning economies OR economies of scope in some part of your organization's operations, explain: 1. Why you believe these economies exist - i.e., what the sources of the economies are; AND 2. What the implications for rm strategy or operations are. Please note that government agencies and non-prots also may experience economies of scale, scope and learning (and need to be concerned about costs!) If you wish, you can earn credit by a good response to someone else's posting. Post early and often (well, early anyway!)
