This week you will start discussing your change initiative with your fellow classmates. If you have not already read the Final Project Description (located in the Introduction Module), please do so now. Some of our discussions from this point forward will connect to the sections in your final project.
Your first post (your change objective) is due by WEDNESDAY. All other replies must be completed no later than Sunday. However, in order to get the most benefit from this activity, please try not to wait until the last possible day to post your replies because it diminishes the value of the collaborative discussion.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Appreciative inquiry is NOT a change management model, so don't confuse the two. Appreciative inquiry is a method for collecting information to help fully understand the problem you're trying to solve, or the identification of the change that needs to be made.
WHAT TO DO:
- Describe your change objective and discuss why the change is necessary. Include a discussion of how you might utilize "appreciative inquiry" in your change process/plan. Note there is a PDF to read this week on appreciative inquiry so you must incorporate what you learned from that into your initial thinking about your change initiative plan.
