This week's discussion is about managing vs. leading. The video in the content page entitled, "How Great Leaders Inspire Action" is very worth watching as you prepare for the discussion. There are also two articles below which discuss the differences and why both skills are important for any successful organization. As we learn in this Chapter about Understanding the Management Process, Leading and motivating is a critical management action. However, as the Indeed article points out there are differences between someone with strong management skills vs someone who has strong leadership skills. Once you read both articles below, post your thoughts/opinion on the following: Consider contemporary successful companies and organizations. Pick your favorite or one that you admire. But not Apple. Tell us in your post the name of the company/organization and its current CEO/Executive Director. Provide a little background on the CEO and what management/leadership skills you feel this person possesses. Support your answer with specific examples.
