This writer agrees that it is important as a human service professional to understand this concept so that if a client requests assistance with this, we as professionals can help them navigate these feelings in a way that allows them to feel satisfied while also taking proper precautions that they are capable of doing, without risking the chance of harming themselves or others. Helping them navigate this will also decrease the chance of them taking a financial risk that could permanently affect the rest of the life that they already believe is limited.
