Thomas and Peter, the directors at WBM logistics have been running a logistics company for the past two years. WBM logistics transports commodities and cargo in various industries ranging from mining commodities such as coal, chrome, manganese to FMCG goods as well as fuel. Due to changes in the business environment, the company has been struggling to meet their financial obligations such as paying suppliers, staff, rent etc. Amongst other factors, Thomas and Peter have noted that employee poor performance as a result of poor management and tough economic conditions are some of the contributing factors contributing towards the company's financial difficulties. As a result, the directors called a meeting with various departmental managers to devise a strategy that would help the company survive these tough times. At the end of the meeting, it

was agreed that the management process would be followed, and each manager would make a presentation relating to how they would use the four management functions to improve performance in their respective departments.
