I definitely think this incident with Starbucks could influence other companies to suppress their employees' ability to unionize, especially if it proves successful for Starbucks. I feel like companies really dislike dealing with third parties when it comes to unionizing. When I first started out in the film industry I wasn't in a union, and I felt like some of the higher ups looked down upon those crew members that were because it made it more difficult for them to get them to work the extended hours, they wanted the crew members to. I quickly learned how important unions can be in a situation like that because it affects the employees' overall health and well-being working those crazy hours.
