Three days prior to a union representational election, the company president called an employee meeting where he discussed the upcoming election. In his speech he said that voting for the union was a futile act , that it would inevitably lead to strikes and that collective bargaining would not bring any benefits or improvements; rather he would make sure that the employees would lose the benefits they already had.
