Three months ago you received a letter from Jameson Gwamba who is in the Democratic Republic of Congo on a United Nations Peace Keeping Mission. In the letter Mr. Gwamba is asking your firm to draw up a Will for him and he gives detailed instructions on how his property are to be distributed upon his death and who is to handle his affairs.
You were going through the draft yesterday when you received a fax message that Mr. Gwamba had, in the Company of other soldiers, driven over a landmine and had been killed.
Mr. Gwamba's father is in your office with a copy of a Will drawn by your firm some two years earlier and the Will is completely inconsistent with the instructions contained in the letter that you had received. The Will makes Mr. Gwamba senior quite comfortable while the instructions in the letter are concentrated on the soldier's wife and children.
The man in your office says the widow is still young and will find another husband who will help her. He wants your help as he is the named executor.
