Throughout government, there are a variety of spending programs that are either wasteful, corporate welfare, or simply not a federal responsibility. Too often, and the deficits created are a classic example, what should be current year expenditures, turn in to expenses that future taxpayers end up paying for. Post to the Discussion Board, a program or expense a city or town pays for that is, in your opinion, an unnecessary expense that taxpayers should not be held responsible for. An example: some cities have "feasts" yearly and the city picks up the tab for police detail and clean up. This is a large expense, but the argument becomes whether this is a public service or not.
