To celebrate her birthday, Nicole throws a party. She wants to please her guests so she makes sure to keep filling their glasses with champagne and encourages them to dance in the living room. While Brian is dancing, his wristwatch gets caught in Elaine's hair. As he pulls his hand away, he rips some of her hair out. Angry about this, Elaine waits until Brian turns away and hits him on the back causing him to fall forward. His head hits the wall and a picture hanging on the wall falls and hits him on the head, injuring him further. Brian is left with bruising and a large lump on his forehead. The picture frame smashes into pieces.

Dylan is in the kitchen eating a homemade mushroom pie. Unknown to him, Nicole baked the pie with mushrooms which she knew contains psychedelic properties. She did this thinking it would help her guests relax and have fun. Dylan begins hallucinating and as Rusty walks into the kitchen, Dylan believes Rusty is a dinosaur that's about to attack him. He grabs a knife to defend himself, but stumbles as he does so, cutting Rusty's arm with the knife. Rusty suffers partial paralysis of the wrist as a result of nerve damage in his arm.
