To develop critical thinking skills, students need to develop skills in 4 areas. These areas are Interpreting, analyzing, reasoning and evaluating. Interpreting involves understanding of the data and the ability to clarify it for others. Analyzing is the ability to break down data for everyone to understand. Reasoning creates an argument for the readers to understand by providing logical steps to its conclusion. Judging is the ability to determine the worth or credibility of the data.
