To help Professor Janvrin's family dog Jack learn to fetch, Cy Pet Supplies Inc. has invented a remarkable new ball that automatically comes back to the thrower even if the dog gets distracted and ignores the ball. Customers are very excited about this new ball and submit their orders on line. Cy Pet Supplies sales representatives manually review each order to ensure that the requested balls are in stock by using information from the current inventory file. If the requested balls are in stock, the order information is updated in the order pending file and forwarded to the Credit Department to determine if the customer has an adequate credit history. If the requested balls are not in stock, the sales representative notifies the customer of the delay.

The Credit Department reviews all credit information, compares it to the customer's credit history file, and returns approved credit notices within three days. The Credit Department is also responsible for notifying customers of credit denials. In addition, the order pending database is updated at this time.

Approved orders are forwarded to the warehouse department where employees prepare orders for shipment. One warehouse employee is responsible for entering shipment information into the shipment file. The revenue system generates Weekly Sales Report based on the order pending file which is forwarded to Cy Pet Supplies Inc. owner, Super Cy.
