To my understanding, a lot of companies record sales revenue on their sales invoice date, but there are of course cases where companies issue sales invoices way later than the actual date when they were supposed to record sales revenue. In this case, what supporting document do companies usually identify when they actually delivered goods, etc.? Do they refer to their delivery note? Packing list? Bill of lading? I am basically confused about those documents.
