To what degree is it possible for a person to be corrupted by the power of his/her social role? What might make a person vulnerable to the power of this role? What might explain why a person might abuse the power that comes with this role? How might such abuse be checked or avoided in the first place? Please note, a social role can include ones profession or their position within a family. For example, teacher, cop, correction officer, judge, president, government official, priest, manager, mother, father, etc. are all possible social roles you may discuss within your paper. However, you should only focus on three or four specific social roles as examples. Otherwise, you run the risk of writing an unfocused paper.
