Tocqueville contends that "for the American experiment to succeed, personal liberty must be fiercely protected, but also carefully balanced with a commitment to the common good" (Putnam, 2020, p. 19). We are seeing this type of challenge on the national stage and in politics. However, it is relevant in organizations, as well.
