Tom enters into an agreement with John, for John to build a closet for his wife, Sally, to store all her shoes and clothing. Tom and John agree to a price of One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Jamaican Dollars ($150,000.00) and agree that the work would commence on July 15, 2010 and completed on August 10, 2010. John completes the closet on October 23, 2010 but Tom refuses to pay the agreed price on the ground that John has taken twice as long as agreed. Sally is very upset by the late completion of the closet because on August 28, 2010, rain fell and ruined Sally's clothing and shoes that were placed in a "make-shift" closet. Sally visits your office with the hopes of suing John for breach of contract and to be compensated for the damage to her property.
