Tom has a problem. Two customers, Jim and his friend Gail, were at the Sportz Zone one night. Jim had 6 beers, but Gail only drank coffee. When it was time to leave, the waiter, Mark, asked Jim if he was driving and he said no Gail was. When Jim and Gail got to the parking lot though, Jim insisted that he could drive. Gail tried to take his keys, but he pushed her aside and got in and drove off. Gail walked home. On his way home, Jim came to an intersection where the traffic lights were not working. Jim did not slow down and went straight through the intersection at a high speed and hit a car driven by Susan. Susan was not wearing a seatbelt and sustained serious injuries. Jenna was walking by and saw the accident and stopped to help. Susan was bleeding heavily and Jenna helped her until the ambulance arrived. Susan is now paralyzed for life and Jenna is having terrible nightmares and depression from witnessing the accident and is unable to work. Jim also suffered a serious back injury and has been off work for 3 months. It turns out the traffic lights had been broken for 2 hours that night and there had even been an accident there 1 hour earlier. All the injured parties have contacted lawyers.
