Tom is the head soccer coach for a high school team in Toronto. He believes all his players have the capacity to be great and the vision he upholds is that to be a good soccer player, you have to be a good person. The same rules that apply on the soccer field apply to life and the integrity shown on the field needs to extend to every player's real life. Everyone who plays on his team love and respect him because he practices what he preaches by modelling his message. He has creative ways to communicate this message to players on the field using drills and he encourages risk taking within safety limits. Tom is naturally charming and likable especially because people get motivated just by being in his presence. Tom's vision as a soccer coach goes beyond himself, he advises his players to always continue to practice being good people even when he is not there. Tom checks in on his alumni students after they have graduated and left the team and he is always happy to see that even though players leave the team, they still practice the message Tom instilled in them. These players buy into Tom's vision even when Tom is no longer in the picture.
