On June 1, a retailer telephoned a wholesaler to provide 1,000 bottles of beer for $3 each and delivered on June 7. The wholesaler agreed. On June 2, the wholesaler sent the retailer a confirmation letter stating that " I am happy to provide you (the retailer) 1,000 bottles of beer $3 each with the signature of the wholesaler. On June 7, when the bottles of beer were delivered to the retailer's place, the retailer found there were only 900 bottles. Is there an enforceable contract against the wholesaler that binds him 1,000 bottles of beer? If the wholesaler constituted a breach of contract, what remedies may the retailer claim against the wholesaler?
