Immigration has always been a hot topic in the United States, and more so in the last four years.

Over the last eight years, name the top five countries of origin for legal immigrants into the U.S. and the number of immigrants from each country.

• In what ways do immigrants contribute to the U.S. economy, i.e., education, skills, business operations. In dollars, how much is this contribution. The general opinion is that immigrants take jobs away from U.S. citizens, and lower wages. Is this true, and why.
• Illegal immigrants. It is estimated that there are 11 million illegal immigrants in the U.S. Most are from Mexico because it is just next door. Name three ways illegal immigrants contribute to the U.S. economy. Name three industries that employ illegal immigrants and the percent participation rate.
