TRUE OR FALSE

____T____F 47. Punitive damages are designed to make Plaintiffs whole and compensate Plaintiff for his/her injuries, pain and suffering, disability, bodily impairment, and loss of enjoyment of life.

____T____F 48. The underlying public policy question behind a proximate cause is how far will we extend the Defendant's responsibility for negligent conduct and this issue is always a question for the jury to decide

____T____F 49. A superseding cause must come from some source not associated with the original Defendant, but if the additional source is somehow associated with the original Defendant, the original Defendant may remain liable (at fault) for all of Plaintiff's injuries.

____T____F 50. To be classified as a superseding cause, the new negligent act exceeds the original Defendant's negligence, to such an extent that it takes precedence over the original negligent act, and makes the original negligent act legally "remote."
