Torts : Willie is the seven-year old child of Mr. and Mrs. Nillie. Like most other seven-year old children, Willie had a curious nature. One afternoon, Willie was playing in the yard and garage while his father watched his favorite game show in the house. Willie started the family riding lawnmower when he saw that the ignition key was in the ignition switch. Willie intended to drive around the yard awhile and then return the mower to the garage before his father finished watching television and before his mother came home from work. The lawnmower started to gain speed as it headed down the sloping front yard toward their neighbor Phil's property. Willie got scared, panicked and instead of applying the brakes and/or shutting off the mower, Willie jumped off. The lawnmower continued to gain speed until it came to an abrupt halt in the side of Phil's new car, causing extensive damage. Willie was afraid of what his father and mother might say as this was the second time in two months that an incident like this occurred.
