Slavman has intentionally kept the company's staffing level at 20; she likes being able to know and learn what makes them happy. After 5 years in business, only four people have left to pursue ties elsewhere. Slavman's hiring method has served Zappit Quick well, but there have been certain challenges. F rather than planning ahead, she waits until a staffing need arised before starting the recruitment ar process. Because she trusts her "gut", she won't necessarily hire the most qualified person if sheh feeling about the candidate. Furthermore, Shayman won't hire for a job she has never performed her mind, there is no way to find the right person for a job if you don't understand the position on level. Slavman's approach to evaluating job candidates is also a little out of the ordinary. Zappit Quick and other small businesses are finding that the hire multiple staff to keep up with the demand of work...everyone from trades people to office ad to sales people. No-one knows how long this trend, or pandemic, will last. In order to acquire the b cants, some businesses are turning to flexible management practices, like cross-training employees temporary workers on an as-needed basis, or forming outsourcing partnerships to adjust to fluctuati market demand.
