In a 30 KVA power, Yz5 connected 10kV / 525V, 50 Hz ONAN cooled three-phase transformer given as: R1 = 43.2 n/phase R2 = 0.12 / phase, X1o = 46.9 / phase, X20 = 0.125 / phase When the transformer is idle it draws 0.9 A and its power factor is 0.263 inductive. a) Determine the conversion ratio including the primary winding number (N1) and the secondary winding number (N2). b) Draw the phasor diagram showing the states of the voltages in the primary and secondary windings relative to each other. c) Since a leg section of the transformer's iron core is 75 cm2 and its primary is 2500 turns, calculate the magnetic flux and magnetic induction in a leg, neglecting the voltage drop. d) Find the magnetizing current, iron current, iron resistance and magnetizing reactance of the transformer e) Show the circuit elements by drawing the "T" equivalent circuit of the transformer. Write the circuit equations. Draw the phasor diagram f) A load of Z = 7+j5.30 is connected to the secondary of the transformer. If the magnetizing current is neglected, draw the equivalent circuit. Calculate primary and secondary currents and secondary voltage for this load state. g) Calculate the copper and iron losses at the same load. h) Calculate the relative short circuit voltage at this load condition. i) Calculate the efficiency of the transformer in this load condition. j) What would you suggest to do to feed a load of 80 KVA
