Transnational corporations (TNCs) contribute significantly to globalization and transformation and have become an important engine of the world economy and societal change. For the final project, you should select an important topic related to TNCs or foreign direct investment (FDI) in any country or region, including FDI/TNCs from developing countries such as China, traditionally called Third World TNCs. Specific topics are flexible, and there are many broad topics you can work on, such as problems TNCs face, localization and supply chains of TNCs, effects of FDI /TNCs on cities, regions, and environment, location/relocation patterns/decisions, government policies towards FDI/TNCs. You can select a city/region/country, a TNC(s), or a sector to study. You can try to link to broad issues such as globalization/localization, urbanization, inequality, trade disputes, IP conflicts, sustainability, governance, and, more recently, the impacts of COVID-19, etc. You can also compare TNCs from different countries, and FDI between countries such as China and India
