There are 30 (hypothetical) subjects, each of which has been classified into one of three basic trauma groups: mild, moderate, and severe.There are also varying degrees within each category (e.g., Class C moderate trauma), but for the moment the three types are all that matter.
Each subject has been tested for two other phenomena: brain stem activation (theother predictor [X] variable) and thedependent variable, memory loss (Y).
