Hold signed a contract with Coastal Harvesting Ldt, to design and build 25 custom harvesters that can harvest wood at the steep grades found along much of the Pacificcoast timber stands induded in Cosstar's harvesting leases. The following events took place in 2020 in relation to the contract: 1. February 18: Officials from IreeHold and Coastal sign the contract. The contract was for \\( \\$ 4,429,000 \\) rreehoid is tadesign, manufacture, and deliver the 25 machines to Coastal's operations centre in Duncan British Columbia. TreeHold's management estimates that the design component of the contract would be valuad at \\( \\$ 498.108 \\) if contracted for separately. while the machine construction component of the contract would ba valued at \\( \\$ 4,337,892 \\) if the machine were purchased separately. TreeHold agrees to provide a three year assurance- type warranty for the machines, and the comparys management estimates that the warranty claims would total \\( \\$ 209.000 \\) based on past experience Coastal agrees topaya \\( \\$ 1,237,000 \\) deposit within 10 days of signing the contract and to piy the balance within is days of the equipment beisis: delivered. 2.
